Kuwait National Petroleum signs $407m contract with Maire Tecnimont
Kuwait National Petroleum has announced the signing of a KD117m ($407m) contract with Italy's Maire Tecnimont for an acid gas removal project at the Mina Al- Ahmadi refinery, Bloomberg has reported. Mina Al-Ahmadi is the biggest of Kuwait's three refineries and has a capacity of 460,000 barrels a day. The contract is for three years. [AMEInfo.com]
Saudi Arabia raises October crude oil prices
Saudi Aramco has raised official October selling prices for all crude grades for customers in Asia, the US, Northwest Europe and the Mediterranean Sea, Bloomberg has reported. The price of Arab Super Light crude increased by 75 cents a barrel to a premium of $1 above the benchmark Dubai price assessment published by Platts, a person familiar with the rates said. Among US shipments, Aramco increased Extra Light and Arab Heavy prices by 5 cents a barrel each to a premium of $1.20 a barrel above the Argus Sour Crude Index and to a discount of $3.3 a barrel below the benchmark for the denser grade.
